Intensive Outpatient

The Intensive Outpatient Program is a programmatic therapeutic milieu consisting of regularly scheduled sessions for a minimum of nine (9) or more hours of treatment per week, in a structured program, which provides patients with the opportunity to remain in their own environment and/or retain their employment.  The structured program objectives are to include but not limited to addressing substance usage, physical health, mental well being, motivation, relapse potential/continued usage and building a positive support living environment.  It is designed for individuals needing multidimensional services that cannot be met at an extended outpatient level of care and who do not need primary medical and nursing services at a partial hospitalization or medically monitored intensive inpatient level of care.  The patients need for behavioral health services are addressed through treatment planning as well as consultation and/or referral arrangement.  Therapy sessions are conducted in group, individual, educational and/or family therapy sessions.
